The MISSION had eventually been accomplished; and the EEDF Health Centre in the rented house moved into a new building - "SRI AUROBINDO SEVA KENDRA" at Gariahat Road (S) on 15th August 1990. The "Health Centre" evolved into a hundred bedded, computerized, centrally air-conditioned hospital with state-of-the-art-equipment, an Outdoor Department, with specialized medical consultants in multiple disciplines, Radiological & Pathological investigation facilities, Operation Theatres with surgical facilities by eminent surgeons etc. In other words, "ALL MEDICAL FACILITIES" under one ceiling – "A concept so unique – in the year 1990, in Kolkata (West Bengal)."

EEDF (Economic Entrepreneurship Development Foundation) Health Centre was founded in February 1971 by Dr. S.C. Dutt, the Chairman & MD of DC group of companies (MNC). Dr. Dutt was the pioneer to introduce Treatment under One Ceiling in Kolkata, West Bengal(India).The VISION was to provide "HEALTH CARE SERVICES" to the middle & lower middle class section of the society and to the employees of DC group in an affordable rate in state-of- the-art environment. It began its first step by rendering services to people from 3 rented houses in Jodhpur Park, Kolkata and in a mobile medical van where Doctors and nurses were present to take care of the people from the effete section of the society. Now Sri Aurobindo Seva Kendra has grown up to 140 beds, with even modernized equipment to cater to people of larger section of the society.
